Join Us for the 2024-2025 Chorale Season

General Directions:

• Click the yellow Apply button to begin your registration. Even if you are a returning member, we'll need you to complete the form. Everyone's membership status expired on July 31st which means you won't be able to access our Members-Only web pages and materials until you've completed a new registration.

• Registration is a 2-step process - it's just how the system works. We'll validate your registration as quickly as possible and send you an email when it's done. 

• If you're preferred payment method is a debit or credit card, our validation process will return an email with payment directions. If you choose to pay by check, please bring your payment to a Monday rehearsal by September 16th. Our software does not accept AmEx for payments. Please contact our treasurer to arrange for payment if you wish to use Amex for payment.

• If you're still waiting for our payment link after 24 hours, please check your email sp*m folder (Our system operates best with a gmail email account.)

• Please consider a donation to the Chorale with your dues payment.

Do I have to audition? 

The Chorale is a non-audition chorale. Members include a range of singing experience. The first 2 weeks of September are open rehearsals. You are welcome to try us out before you make your decision to join. There are also two pre-season rehearsals open to all -  August 19 & August 26 (also held at the Acton Congregational Church). Please complete a registration form with your contact details.

How Much Does it Cost to Join?

Membership dues for the 2024-2025 year are $150 per semester. Pay upfront in the fall for the full year and receive a $25 discount - $275 total due if paid by the 3rd rehearsal of the term.

In addition, members purchase their own music for each concert. Music is ordered for choristers by the Chorale’s Music Librarian. Costs generally range from approximately $20 to $35 per concert. Details about ordering music will be available soon.

Scholarships are available. Contact the Treasurer to inquire.

Dues and awarded grants are not enough to support all of the chorale's annual costs. Please consider offering an additional supporting donation during your registration. The Nashoba Valley Chorale is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Check your employer's matching gift policies and ask them to match your gift.

2024-2025 COVID Statement

Please be sure to review our COVID policy when you register (provided at the end of registration). The policy remains largely the same as last year:

• Masks are optional.
   
• We continue to require vaccinations, including boosters, to be kept current as recommended by the CDC. While we require proof of initial vaccination (which all returning members will have already provided previously), it is not feasible for us to verify that each member is current with boosters according to their individual schedules. Therefore, we will not check for proof of boosters but ask individuals to take personal responsibility for ensuring they are up to date, as defined by the CDC guidelines. 
   
• Unvaccinated participants will only be permitted to participate in person at rehearsals or performances if the participant is eligible for a medical exemption evidenced by a licensed physician, physician assistant, or certified nurse practitioner.
   
• If you feel unwell at any point in the season, stay home, and contact your section leader.
   

Together, we worked hard to avoid COVID spread within the Chorale in past seasons by keeping our vaccinations current. We are grateful for everyone’s continued cooperation and diligence as we move into this next season.

Please do your part to help us keep everyone healthy and singing again this season. We need every voice! Please take the time to review your booster eligibility and get an updated booster when you are eligible and able to do so.
